JOB SUMMARY
:
The primary function of the Rental Sales Representative is to effectively manage customer relationships while ensuring our rental process runs smoothly—from check-in to check-out. We’re seeking the ideal candidate to help expand our commercial truck rental business.
RENTAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prospect and develop new rental customers through cold calls, walk-ins, and local networking Manage existing customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and repeat business with exceptional customer service. Create rental agreements, quotes, and coordinate with operations for vehicle availability Track market trends and competitor offerings to stay ahead Conduct thorough pre- and post-rental inspections for damage Assist with maintaining fleet appearance, cleanliness, and readiness by performing daily yard checks. Document and report any unit damage, repairs, or maintenance needs Collaborate with the service department to schedule repairs and ensure DOT compliance Always represent the company professionally May require night and weekend callouts
RENTAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and team-player mindset. Professional personal appearance is necessary, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Rental coordinator works indoors and outdoors, primarily as a sales function. S/he must have transportation to perform sales calls in the marketplace. S/he will also move about the dealership facility to communicate with the dealer managers, employees, and customers. Excellent communication skills are required. This job requires you to climb in and out of trucks regularly. S/he must bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and feel. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Must also spend extensive periods at a desk, reviewing detailed computer printouts, inputting data on a Video Display Monitor, filing, placing, and receiving telephone calls, and maintaining information systems.
