Residence Inn Portland Downtown Riverplace - Area Sales Manager OEM Address 2115 Sw River Pkwy, Portland, OR, 97201 Job Description The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving assigned goals related to the performance of 2-10 hotels. The role involves soliciting and securing new accounts for all assigned hotels, working with Directors of Sales and hotel leadership to meet revenue and market share targets. Sales focus may vary depending on the property (e.g., Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF). Management associates are expected to work as much of each day as necessary, with overtime applicable for OEM associates. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; 2+ years hotel sales experience preferred. Valid drivers license for the applicable state. Strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiation and influence. Experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong organization and presentation skills. Responsibilities: Achieve sales and revenue goals for assigned hotels. Conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients in Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups segments. Develop and grow relationships with existing accounts. Monitor market trends within your segment. Maintain courteous and service-oriented interactions with guests and employees. Follow Aimbridge Hospitalitys regulations, standards, and sales metrics. Gain knowledge of hotel operations and policies. Maintain visibility in the local community and industry organizations. Participate in promotions like sales blitzes. Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned by management.
