Rycor (www.rycorhvac.com) is the largest and fastest-growing installer of heat pumps in the USA. As we expand across the Southeast, we’re launching our new Charlotte, NC location—and we’re looking for a Sales professional to lead local growth as our Residential Heat Pump Sales Designer.
A day in this roleYou’ll start your morning mapping out in-home consultations, then head out in your company car to meet homeowners and small business clients. On site, you’ll take precise measurements and photos, perform BTU/load calculations, and sketch system layouts to design right-sized heating and cooling solutions. You’ll translate complex options into clear choices, present proposals, negotiate terms, and close the deal—always with an eye on client experience and comfort outcomes.
Back at your laptop, you’ll update the CRM, prepare forecasts, and review market and competitor shifts to refine your approach. You’ll collaborate with our install and operations teams to ensure what you designed is delivered seamlessly. You’ll also represent Rycor at local events and trade shows to build pipeline and brand awareness.
What you’ll take ownership of- Conduct compelling sales presentations and demonstrations tailored to each client’s needs.
- Run face-to-face consultations in homes or at places of business throughout the Charlotte area.
- Capture accurate measurements and site photos; produce design plans for optimal heating and cooling.
- Uncover goals, constraints, and preferences; recommend the best-fit solution set.
- Negotiate terms and close agreements to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Partner closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and high client satisfaction.
- Track market trends and competitor activity to uncover new growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts to leadership.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to promote Rycor’s products and services.
- Proven success in sales or account management—ideally with in-home, B2C experience.
- Exceptional communication and rapport-building skills; consultative, customer-first approach.
- Strong negotiation and closing ability with a record of hitting revenue goals.
- Self-driven and results-oriented; comfortable working independently and within a team.
- Hands-on skills in measurements, quoting, and HVAC (heating and air conditioning) fundamentals, including BTU/load calculations and design layouts.
- Fluency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in customer service, outside sales, and business-to-consumer engagements.
