Responsibilities As a Retail Sales Clerk, you will: Use your customer service skills to assist the public. Ensure that all sales are made only to customers 21 and over. Perform cashiering duties. Assist in receiving and storing merchandise. Mark and display product for sale. Contribute to the department's by providing superior customer service. Assist in managing store operations in the absence of the manager or assistant manager, including opening and closing the store. Minimum Requirements 21 years of age or older. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to work a flexible schedule. Able to provide excellent customer service. Able to pass a criminal background check.
Preference(s): Preference may be given to current employees of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services. DABS stores are closed on Sundays and all state and federal holidays.

Summary of Benefits Offered Health Insurance - Public Employee Health Program (PEHP): High deductible option with a low bi-weekly premium as well as employer contributions into a health savings account to help with out of pocket medical costs. Responsibilities Processes transactions at a cash register, gives correct change, and closes till at end of shift. Assists customers in finding products, making selections, and purchasing items. Screens for intoxication, checks identification, and watches for shoplifters. Conducts regular and/or spot check inventories of merchandise, supplies, or equipment. Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available. Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies. Receives and fills liquor orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required. Maintains building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and/or removes snow from sidewalks and doorways, etc. Receives shipments and coordinates handling and storage. Supplemental Information Physical Requirements. Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
