Roofing Sales Manager - Richmond, VA

The Sales Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring field performance, onboarding success, and long-term retention of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). This individual leads by example in the field, manages performance with precision, fosters a team-driven culture, and collaborates closely with both upper leadership and the training department to ensure new hires thrive. The core focus is SDR retention and rapid performance ramp-up in the first 60 days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Work in the field with your team as well as personally knocking on doors.
•Assist with inspections, damage ID, and closings.
•Model a strong "Mob & Knock Mentality" and lead with energy and urgency.
•Host weekly meetings and quarterly events focused on customer relations, performance, mindset, and tracking.
•Provide ongoing coaching, training and support.
•Monitor performance and ensure KPIs are met.
•Track and report performance metrics including identifying underperformance early and implementing coaching plans.
•Deliver hands-on mentorship in all aspects from door approach, pitch, and contract execution to understanding ethical standards
•Collaborate with the internal recruiting team to identify and interview candidates.
•Cast a wide net internally and externally to attract a strong talent pool.
•Contact all new SDRs prior to training to encourage excitement and a good show rate.
•Supplement and support proper onboarding setup (apps, gear, pitch sheets, contracts, etc.)
•Ensure retention goals and onboarding processes are executed successfully
•Coordinate closely with the Training & Recruiting Teams to provide feedback on new SDRs

Education and/or Experience
•3+ years in a field-based sales management role.
•Proven door-to-door or outside sales success record.
•Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities.
•Deep knowledge of roofing sales, contracts, and inspection strategies.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to manage performance data and take swift action to improve results.
•Self-starter with a relentless work ethic and commitment to team success

Preferred
•Previous experience in the construction or roofing industry.
•Knowledge of roofing terminologies and processes.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
