Roofing Sales Representative – Long Island


Location: Long Island, NY

Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000 base + performance bonus


About the Opportunity


A full-service manufacturer’s rep firm is seeking a results-driven Roofing Sales Representative to expand market share in Long Island. This is a hunter-style sales role focused on single-ply roofing systems and related building envelope products, selling directly to roofing contractors.


The ideal candidate is strategic, aggressive, and hungry to win in a competitive market. This is a demanding but rewarding opportunity with strong earning potential, a cash balance retirement plan, and high-level client entertainment as part of the sales culture.


What You’ll Do


  • Prospect, identify, and close new business opportunities with contractors, architects, and distributors.
  • Provide product education and deliver presentations to promote roofing and building envelope solutions.
  • Conduct on-site visits, offering technical support and ensuring understanding of installation and performance.
  • Maintain CRM records in Salesforce and Copper to manage pipeline and sales activities.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and product developments.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking outings.
  • Engage in relationship-driven “social selling” through golf, fishing trips, dinners, and other client events.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and internal teams to provide responsive customer service.


What You Bring


  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in commercial roofing.
  • Proven hunter sales track record with consistent quota achievement.
  • Strong existing relationships within the Long Island roofing contractor market.
  • Technical knowledge of roofing systems and installation.
  • Competitive, proactive mindset with the hustle to thrive in a rejection-heavy sales environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with decision-makers.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Long Island.
