Rooms Inventory Manager

The Rooms Inventory Manager is a key team member responsible for the coordination and oversight of all facets of guest room reservation operations, functioning as the central hub between all departments including Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Front Office, Central Reservations, and Finance.

Responsibilities include maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor, effective communication with all levels of employees and guests, multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions, attending required meetings and trainings, maintaining personal appearance, complying with hotel standards, maximizing productivity, handling problems, understanding complex information, cross-training in related areas, maintaining confidentiality, showing initiative, and performing other duties as requested by management. Additionally, the role requires competency in PMS functions, knowledge of reservation systems, processing group turnovers, managing group cutoff dates, communicating rooming list needs, effectively communicating group reservation needs, attending pre-con meetings, communicating availability and closeouts, complying with hotel billing policies, enforcing hotel credit policies, knowledge of property information, timely processing of travel agent commissions, controlling suite inventory, managing hold reservations, completing operational forecasts, maintaining professional working relationships, understanding hotel rate quoting standards, following revenue strategy restrictions, and familiarity with corporate-sponsored programs.

Qualifications include minimum two years of hotel experience, preferably in a supervisory role, a 4-year college degree, proficiency in Microsoft 365/Office, Opera PMS, SynXis CRS, Pegasus CRS, OTA Extranets, Delphi FDC, Onyx, flexibility for long hours, computer/desk work for extended periods, and light work requirements.
