Job Summary San Antonio Bakery Solutions is seeking a motivated, reliable, and customer-focused Route Sales Driver to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be the face of our company to our valued clients, responsible for managing an assigned route, ensuring timely delivery of our quality bakery products, and fostering strong customer relationships. This role is a blend of sales, customer service, and delivery logistics, requiring a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to growing their route. Key Responsibilities Route Management & Sales: Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to service an established delivery route. Actively work to develop and grow the route by identifying new sales opportunities and building a loyal customer base. Manage product inventory on the truck to meet customer needs and minimize waste. Customer Service & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all customers on the route, providing exceptional, friendly service. Address customer needs, inquiries, and concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure product freshness and proper rotation at customer locations. Deliveries & Logistics: Accurately load and unload bakery products for daily deliveries. Ensure order accuracy and the integrity of products during transport and delivery. Optimize route plans for efficiency and on-time performance. Account Management: Manage and process invoices, handle payment collections (cash/check/electronic), and ensure customer accounts are up-to-date. Maintain precise records of sales, deliveries, and daily transactions. Qualifications and Requirements Experience: Previous experience in route sales, delivery, or Direct Store Delivery (DSD) is highly preferred but not required. Language: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Licensing & Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver's license for the state of operation. Must be able to obtain and continuously maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card. Must have a clean driving record, with no DUI, DWI, or major transit violations within the past five (5) years. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Physical Ability: Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and handle boxes weighing up to 10 kg (approx. 22 lbs). Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and handle sacks weighing up to 20 kg (approx. 44 lbs). Ability to perform tasks that require frequent bending, stooping, and climbing in and out of a delivery vehicle throughout the day. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Basic math skills for managing invoices and payments. A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
