Position Summary
The Sales Account Manager – Residential Division will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer accounts within the residential market segment. This role requires a strong understanding of residential construction methods and materials, along with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, and developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue in the Residential Division.

  • Manage and expand existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities.

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with residential contractors, homebuilders, and developers.

  • Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to customers, ensuring successful project outcomes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and high customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor sales activities, maintain accurate records, and achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.

  • Stay informed on residential market trends, competitor offerings, and industry innovations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in outside sales, ideally within residential construction or related building materials.

  • Established network of contacts in the residential construction industry is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of residential building methods, materials, and applications.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods during the workday.

  • Manual dexterity for using standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers.

  • Visual and auditory ability to perform essential functions, including reading reports and communicating with team members.

  • Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
