Sales Analyst

New Today

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Sales Analyst to join our team. This is a new role within the company, reporting directly to the CFO, and will play a critical part in shaping our data analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker with strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach. This person will work closely with both the Sales and Purchasing teams to analyze trends, forecast demand, support purchasing decisions, and recommend process improvements.
This role also requires someone capable of identifying, implementing, and managing any reporting or analytical tools necessary to perform these tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze sales performance across products, customers, and channels to uncover insights and inform strategy. Create and maintain item-level and customer-level sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonality, and planned promotions. Partner with the Sales team to provide data that supports account planning, pricing, and growth strategies. Collaborate with the Purchasing team to provide accurate, timely, and data-driven recommendations for inventory planning. Develop ad hoc analyses to support decision-making across departments, including Finance and Operations. Evaluate and implement analytical/reporting software or tools as needed; manage and maintain these systems independently. Design and automate recurring dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs, inventory performance, and sales trends. Present data and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a business analysis, forecasting, or planning role—ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods. Strong proficiency in Excel and data modeling; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, DataRails) required. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Demonstrated experience selecting and managing analytical/reporting tools. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate technical data to non-technical audiences. Experience in the toy industry or seasonal product businesses a plus.
BENEFITS:  Medical/Dental/Vision with substantial company contribution. Company-paid life insurance, long-term and short-term disability. FSA/HSA. 401K with company match. Generous paid time off and holiday structure. Product discount. Tuition/Adoption reimbursement. Health and Wellbeing initiatives.
