Job Summary:
We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Sales Analyst to support our sales
organization with robust reporting, forecasting, and performance insights. This role is
responsible for analyzing sales trends, managing dashboards and KPIs, and supporting
sales and demand planning efforts. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with
sales, procurement, and logistics teams to align inventory with projected demand and
help drive data-informed decisions across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for internal
stakeholders and executive leadership
Build and manage KPI dashboards that monitor revenue, units sold, margin,
inventory velocity, and customer/channel performance
Analyze historical sales trends and current market dynamics to support sales
forecasting and demand planning
Partner with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure inventory levels
align with forecasted demand and promotional calendars
Track and report on sales targets vs. actuals, account-level performance, and
channel-specific insights
Provide analysis on sell-in vs. sell-through performance, customer buying
patterns, and regional trends
Support forecast accuracy reviews and contribute to SOP (Sales Operations
Planning) meetings
Identify growth opportunities, product gaps, and at-risk SKUs by leveraging
internal and external data
Assist in preparing sales decks, executive summaries, and reports for retail
buyers and strategic partners
Recommend and implement improvements to reporting processes, forecasting
models, and automation tools
Requirements:
25 years of experience as a Sales Analyst, Demand Planner, or Business
Analyst, preferably in a consumer goods or retail environment
Bachelors in business, economics, data analytics, statistics or similar. Masters
degree preferred
Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, trend modeling) and data
visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
Experience with forecasting and demand planning processes; comfort working
with incomplete or evolving data
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or sales systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Unleashed,
Shopify, or similar)
Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and succinctly across
departments
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time
management
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in consumer goods, outdoor products, or multi-channel retail
Experience in collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment (CPFR) or
SOP frameworks
Knowledge of margin and profitability modeling at SKU, channel, and customer
level
Familiarity with EDI or sales data feeds from major retailers
