This is what you’ll do
This role is 70% Sales and 30% Marketing
Sales Manager – to manage existing channels including Costco (working thru broker ADW), Asian grocers (working thru 2 Asian CPG distributors), World Market, Grocery Outlet, Amazon, Shopify, Reprally, Faire, Temu. In addition for 2026 onwards we have plans to enter into natural grocers (Wholefoods, Sprouts, Bristol Farms, etc), conventional channel (Target and Walmart among others), and possibly other club channels (Sams Club, BJ’s, etc). This Sales role will be a combination of a “farmer role” where you maintain relationship with buyers of existing channels, solving their needs, offering them new SKUs and ultimately get POs, and a “hunter role” where you will be strategically going after new channels and establishing relationships with new buyers, working out the pricing and trade accruals.
Marketing Manager – you will be working with a Marketing Executive in the team who has been planning and executing our offline and online marketing efforts, which include paid and non paid online (Amazon, Meta, shopify, Google, working with influencers, organic posts, etc) and trade marketing for our existing channels (demos for Costco, 99 Ranch, H-Mart, pop ups for various events, collaboration events with F&B or other CPG brands, organic contents, etc)
For both sales and marketing roles you will work directly with General Manager for USA. Together you will form and execute on agreed sales and marketing budget and strategy.

Sales
Develop annual and quarterly sales plans, strategies, and implementation steps
Achieving sales target budget, gross margins, net profit, and managing of trade funding
Accountable for sales of existing and new items, category reviews, promotional planning, sales goals, budget adherence, and execution of sales & marketing initiatives
Development of existing and obtaining new business accounts
Manage and partner with broker teams to drive key account and regional market development
Identify brand/category development opportunities, communicate, and resolve account issues/solutions through sales/marketing & broker teams
Develop, implement, and monitor retail pricing, competition, distribution, shelving, and promotional strategies
Effectively manage trade spending, deductions, and credit management
Budget/Forecast
Meet forecasted sales goals, ensure company profitability goals, and spend within budget
Sales forecasting responsibilities for yearly budget and long-range plans, and monitoring of forecast against actual results
Work closely with Operations/Logistics to adjust monthly production forecast for promotions, new item distribution, and other market dynamics that will impact demand planning
Management & Communications
Oversee and conduct sales portion of regular company management meetings, review monthly and year to date variances in results
Work with Trade & Accounting to run reports needed to measure business performance
Work closely with Operations to ensure proper and accurate forecasting, production, and shipping occurring with customers

Experience in managing large retail customers such as Costco, Sam’s, Target, Walmart, and other club and mass accounts

Excellent broker management experience, as we work with Costco through a broker
Ability to establish sales plans and drive execution
Analytical, organized, and detail oriented
High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets/Google suite/MS suite
Efficient with time and resources management – ability to juggle multiple tasks and fast in responding
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to the rapidly changing needs of a startup
While primary work is in US market, the position does require having calls / meetings with Singapore-based teams, usually during late afternoon / early evening PST
Organized, creative, and passionate about snacks and consumer behavior
Take initiative and having the willingness to go the extra mile
Ideal background/experience:
7+ years of CPG (Consumer Packaged Food) experience
Have worked with grocery-club-wholefoods accounts, distributors, and have done broker management
Have negotiated and executed trade marketing including demos, TPDs, and other promos
Have done and understood the financials aspects of CPG business, including pricing, margins, budgeting for marketing and other costs
Having professional experience working in a fast paced mid to large startup preferred
Education: 4-year college degree, preferably in business/economics

Location – U.S. based , California / LA preferred. Work in the office (our office is in The Shoppes at Chino Hills, CA 91709).
Travel required several times in a year (visit distributor or Costco buyers in other regions)
