Sales Outfitter Position The Sales Outfitter performs various selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. Essential functions include supporting a strong commitment to world class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers, demonstrating products to customers, replenishing product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines, remaining a product expert through ongoing product knowledge training, and maintaining pricing and signing. The Sales Outfitter also assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves, restocks merchandise, keeps the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies, and follows all company policies and procedures. The Sales Outfitter provides a legendary experience for every customer by assisting them in making buying decisions, identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based on this analysis, and promoting programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. All other duties as assigned. Experience/Qualifications: Minimum degree required is a high school education or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and ability include the ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers, communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and other associates, establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers, and operate a computerized point of sale register system. Travel requirements: N/A Physical requirements include constantly standing and/or walking during a shift, occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., constantly communicating with others to exchange information, occasionally repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools, occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed), occasionally working in tight and confined spaces, and occasionally working in noisy environments. Independent judgment is required to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. The Sales Outfitter chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems and occasionally makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
