The Keyholder is responsible for opening and closing the store and ensuring proper store procedures and policies are followed when store management is not on duty. The specifics include: Greeting customers in a friendly manner and ensuring high quality customer service. Meeting National Vision's sales objectives. Maintaining awareness of same day service using "Ready When Promised" production board. Ensuring customers receive quality products in a timely manner. Assisting with answering phones efficiently in accordance with National Vision telephone protocol. Ensuring all customer service complaints are handled effectively and efficiently. Reviewing reasons for redos and implementing practices to correct. Ensuring quality standards are met. Checking on status and notifying customers when orders are in or of any delays. Ensuring all intra-web functions are done daily including cancelled job status, backorder list and problem jobs. Assisting with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses to customers, if permitted by state law. Performing insertion and removal training of contact lens as directed by management and permitted by state law. Ensuring store cleanliness policies are adhered to at all times. Completing inventory count and replenishing stock as necessary. Ensuring all visual merchandising is implemented and maintained. Ensuring that the eyeglass department is kept clean and organized at all times. Ensuring that inventory control and loss prevention procedures are followed at all times. Overseeing the sales floor and timely opens and closes store following proper procedures. Ensuring bank deposits and cash handling transactions are in compliance with National Vision procedures and policies. Leading associates so that they complete tasks in a time-efficient manner. Acting as point of contact to address customer service issues, maintenance and vendor problems. Ensuring compliance to all store and corporate policies and procedures. Are you the right fit? The suitable talent includes: Previous retail experience preferred, but not required. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to present and sell eyeglass features and specialty lenses. Strong customer service skills. Ability to learn optical knowledge. Ability to work and interact effectively within a store environment, adhering to and promoting all store policies, procedures, and regulations. Ability to stand for extended periods of time that may average 6-8 hours. Possess leadership qualities. Strong communication skills for effective leadership of teams.
