As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in our retail environment. Duties Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement. Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending additional items that complement their purchases. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability. Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management tasks. Handle customer inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette, ensuring all questions are addressed promptly. Foster a welcoming environment by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Experience in retail sales with a solid understanding of grocery store operations preferred. Proficiency in basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Ability to perform merchandising tasks efficiently while adhering to company standards. Bilingual capabilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. Previous supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to advance within the company. Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions.
