Summary of the Job
The Client Success & Sales Manager is responsible for securing new client contracts, managing the onboarding process, and ensuring client satisfaction during the initial engagement period. This role bridges business development and client services by completing sales with prospective clients, overseeing their first month of service, and then transitioning them to the Client Services team for long-term management. Travel is required for client relationship development, onboarding, and organizational representation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in alignment with company goals. Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Negotiate and close client contracts in coordination with leadership. Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients during the first month of service. Ensure a smooth onboarding process, addressing client needs and coordinating with internal teams. Transition clients to the Client Services team with comprehensive hand-off documentation. Partner with Scheduling and Coding Managers to address client requests during onboarding. Conduct initial client calls and provide timely follow-up communication. Coordinate HCCS/Client onboarding conference calls as needed. Maintain accurate sales pipeline data, onboarding status, and transition records. Participate in client appreciation and relationship-building activities. Travel to client sites as necessary to support sales and onboarding.
Supervisory Functions
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. 3+ years in sales, client services, or business development within healthcare or related industry. Experience closing contracts and managing client relationships. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and follow-up abilities. Ability to build trust and foster long-term relationships. Comfortable with frequent travel and client-facing interactions. Working knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems. License/Certification Coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC is a plus, but not required.
