Mary’s Woods is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and results-driven sales professional to join our team as a Sales Counselor. In this role, you will represent and promote the Mary’s Woods lifestyle and residences while building genuine relationships with prospective residents and prioritizing their well-being. Responsibilities include achieving and exceeding sales goals, retaining depositors, maximizing occupancy, and expanding the Priority Wait List to support strategic objectives. The position also involves managing and tracking leads, preparing sales and traffic reports, maintaining accurate database records, hosting marketing events, and collaborating on future marketing, sales, and revenue opportunities. We are looking for someone who not only thrives on closing sales but also truly loves working with seniors.
Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience and skills needed to be successful:
Cultivates relationships and builds rapport with potential residents, to include proficiency in telephone and email follow‐up, lead management, and closing skills.
Establishes credibility and effectively communicates to potential residents and their influencers by providing honest and transparent information during campus visits and subsequent contact.
Schedules and conducts professional sales presentations to prospective residents and their families/guests.
Passionate about our community and dedicated to sharing its value with prospective residents.
Actively engaged with the Mary’s Woods community and builds strong connections with current residents.
Works discretely and maintains confidentiality with potential residents and their families.
Manages the pre‐sale transaction from initial presentation to occupancy.
Maintains accurate records, files, and database.
Provides weekly sales recap to the Sales Director.
Achieves and sustains the quality and quantity of leads and referrals and meets and exceeds established sales goals.
Promotes positive relationships and facilitates good communication and problem-solving skills with staff, clients, residents, visitors, donors, and regulators.
Achieves and exceeds occupancy goals for independent apartments, Villa homes, and healthcare levels of living as needed.
Grows and works the Priority Waitlist with intention and integrity.
Collaborates with Sales Director on innovative opportunities for sales and marketing programs and events.
Maintains a professional appearance and polished presentation.
Proven ability to effectively close sales and achieve results.
Sets the stage to ensure all visitors are warmly welcomed and the sales center is tidy, stocked with refreshments, and is representative of Mary’s Woods’s standard of excellence. Keeps the Sales Director apprised of any concerns or suggestions for improvement.

Education and Experience Required:
Minimum 3 years of experience in direct customer sales.
Proven successful sales history that includes the ability to work effectively with the senior population.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proficient with virtual presentation platforms (Zoom and/or FaceTime).
Proficient with CRM software and data entry.

The starting wage is contingent on experience and education. This position offers a competitive base salary and commission.
This is a full-time, exempt position typically scheduled to work Monday to Friday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, with the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for special events and client tours.
