Our achievements include: Top Technology Provider for Food & Beverage Supply Chain Leading Third Party Logistics (3PL) Provider in Retail Most Extensive Electric Truck Network in the U.S. Position Details: Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Travel: 50 to 75% Base Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 plus commission Sales Territory: Garden City Park, Bronx, and Farmingdale, NY Job Summary: The Sales Development Manager will focus on growing new customer accounts within their designated territory. Your role will involve educating potential clients on the value of Ryder's services using our proven Sales Process. Key responsibilities include creating sales plans, assessing profitability, and navigating competitive dynamics. This is a dedicated hunter role—ideal for a motivated and ambitious candidate! This position requires ground travel and offers a competitive salary, company cell phone, mileage reimbursement, and an outstanding commission structure. Some travel may be necessary for training. Sales Territory: Garden City Park, NY Bronx, NY Farmingdale, NY Key Responsibilities: Design and execute sales strategies for target accounts to exceed quotas. Proactively engage with leads and represent the full range of Ryder services. Collaborate with account representatives and customer development managers to optimize account transitions and sales growth. Perform thorough needs assessments and prepare value-driven proposals. Maintain accurate sales activity reporting and ensure compliance with sales protocols. Foster strong working relationships across all levels of the organization. Essential Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and clients. Strong initiative and self-motivation. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong understanding of Ryder’s products and services. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field. At least five years of demonstrated sales success with a track record of meeting quotas. Solid grasp of Ryder’s offerings and ability to interpret financial data.
