JOB SUMMARY The In-Person Sales Development Representative (SDR) will build relationships with restaurant owners, gather insights about their businesses, and initiate the partnership process. This contract role requires frequent travel within an assigned territory and direct engagement with local business owners to connect them with Client solutions, ultimately setting the stage for long-term partnerships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct on-site visits to prospective restaurant partners, initiating conversations and building relationships. Gather key insights about restaurant ownership, operations, and third-party delivery usage. Identify objections or concerns preventing restaurants from partnering with Client and document actionable findings. Schedule follow-up meetings with Client Account Executives or other representatives. Build interest in Client’s value proposition and generate excitement about partnership opportunities. Collect detailed business information and log findings in CRM systems to inform future sales strategies. Conduct follow-up calls or emails to confirm appointments and nurture leads. Collaborate with the broader sales team to share insights and align strategies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience in field sales, outside sales, or face-to-face customer engagement, preferably in restaurant, retail, or SMB environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with restaurant owners and managers. Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently, manage your schedule, and meet performance goals. Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to log visit details and insights. Availability to travel within assigned territory up to 60% of the time; willingness to stay overnight as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with sales strategy and business development in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Ability to problem-solve and creatively engage prospects to address obstacles and objections. Tech-savviness and comfort using mobile tools for logging visits, scheduling, and reporting.
