Sales Director

Momentum is seeking a strategic, results-driven Sales Director to lead our sales efforts across Canada and the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a high-performing team, and developing strategies across hospitality, healthcare, and corporate interiors markets. The ideal candidate will combine sales leadership with strong analytical insight, an understanding of commercial interiors, and a passion for team development and client engagement. This position is remote within these locations, Ohio, Michigan, DC and Northern Virginia, Maryland, or West and Central Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Core Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with Momentum’s brand and growth objectives.
- Analyze performance metrics, pipeline data, and forecasts using CRM tools to guide decision-making and improve results.
- Conduct regular review of sales dashboards (CRM, Rep Space 2.0) to:
- Track rep activity and monitor open orders and credit holds.
- Identify year-over-year declines and whitespace opportunities for targeted outreach.
- Ensure timely project follow-up and lead conversion.
- Set clear objectives and budgets for each territory, aligning with broader corporate goals.
- Deliver monthly reporting to the Senior VP of Sales, summarizing key wins, trends, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a regional sales team; provide regular feedback and guidance to drive performance and professional growth.
- Conduct monthly one-on-one check-ins with each sales rep to discuss pipeline, key accounts, events, and strategic initiatives.
- Host monthly team huddles to align the team on marketing initiatives, celebrate wins, and review performance metrics.
- Approve key administrative tasks such as expenses (Nexonia), mileage (Everlance), specifier updates, and sales accommodations.
- Assign new accounts and guide territory planning efforts.
- Identify and help reps grow relationships with key accounts and design influencers across the hospitality, healthcare, and corporate sectors.
- Travel with reps for joint client meetings, relationship building, and project development.
- Attend major industry trade shows and networking events to elevate brand presence and gather market intelligence.
- Provide feedback to the executive team on sales progress, opportunities, and emerging market trends.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must meet these requirements to be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, and/or relevant equivalent experience considered.
- Proven success in sales or leading regional sales teams and driving revenue growth across multiple verticals.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and CRM systems.
- Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Substantial travel is required for this position; you must be willing to travel regularly within the region.
