Position Purpose Under minimal supervision, the Sales Finance Analyst supports the Finance team in the financial engagement of the respective sales divisions to help achieve financial goals and objectives. The Sales Finance Analyst supports the annual planning cycle for the respective sales divisions, including annual plan and latest estimates; as well as participates in the development and execution of the processes and systems that support monthly accounting close, accrual process and subsequent financial reporting. The Sales Finance Analyst performs analysis utilized in comprehensive monthly business review processes with sales leaders including identification and mitigation of risks and opportunities.
*This is a hybrid position, working onsite Monday - Thursday in our Napa Coroporate Offices with Work From Home capabilities every Friday
Essential Duties Supports the annual planning and forecast process for respective sales divisions, including development of monthly plans for sales volume, pricing, revenue, cogs, and expenses; develops and revises templates for managing plan data and ensuring adherence to financial deliverables
Performs monthly analysis to support review with Business Managers - providing insights on business financial results; includes risk and opportunity analysis where applicable
Engages in reporting and projects to support the sales divisions as needed, including providing operational support (e.g., wholesaler inventory management), financial impact analysis, and assessment of new business opportunities
Supports the month-end close process, including preparing financial journal entries, spend accrual review and analysis, account reconciliations, etc., for designated sales functions
Analyzes accrued vs. actual and plan vs. actual expense trends, reporting on spending levels and providing recommendations and insights as needed
Responsible for preparing customer management review packages bi-annually, including coordinating calendars, collecting multiple data points from sales managers, and reviewing final decks for accuracy
Investigates and corrects anomalies or inaccuracies in financial data or results
Provides Ad Hoc analysis supporting decision making on key business issues
Maintains financial partnerships with sales managers and leadership
Maintains relationships with various functional management teams to ensure quality deliverables and information flow, including accounting, FP&A, Business Performance Management, HROC, the Chain Team, and Marketing
Acts as Delicato expert on reporting systems; drives innovation and efficiencies to improve reporting

Minimum Requirements Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; degree in business, finance, accounting or related field preferred
1 year of financial or analytical related experience
Experience in wine or beverage alcohol business is desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with the three-tier distribution network, and shipment, depletion and scan data reporting and analysis preferred
Expert computer skills are required, with ability to report and analyze multi-dimensional data and complex information
Must exhibit excellent communication skills, analytical skills and problem-solving ability
Working Conditions General office environment with occasiona travel
Required to drive automotive equipment

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $64,998.24 to $101,552.88. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
