Position Overview The Chris Auffenberg of Carbondale dealership is seeking a  Sales Manager with F&I responsibilities to lead our dealership sales operations and ensure smooth financing for our customers. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record of driving sales performance, building strong teams, and maintaining a customer-first culture. While the primary focus is on managing and growing sales, this position also oversees finance and insurance to ensure compliance and maximize profitability. ResponsibilitiesSales Management (Primary) Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve sales goals
Develop and execute strategies to increase showroom traffic, lead conversion, and overall sales performance
Monitor daily activities and coach team members on effective selling techniques and customer service
Manage dealership inventory, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts
Foster long-term customer relationships built on trust and satisfaction
Partner with marketing to plan promotions and events that drive business
Finance & Insurance Management (Secondary) Present financing options, warranties, and aftermarket products to customers in a clear and professional manner
Maintain strong lender relationships and track loan portfolios
Ensure all deal paperwork is accurate, timely, and compliant with state, federal, and dealership guidelines
Support the sales process by streamlining the transition from sales to finance
Oversee finance department schedules and ensure smooth operations
Requirements Minimum high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
Prior automotive dealership experience required , with a background in sales management strongly preferred
Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
Familiarity with finance and insurance processes, compliance, and aftermarket product presentation
Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
