The Sales Forecasting Analyst will play a key role in identifying sales trends and providing insights that drive business performance. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and creative in their approach, with a strong ability to plan, problem-solve, and think strategically. This individual should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment. A positive, energetic attitude and strong customer service mindset are essential. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts by analyzing historical data, point-of-sale trends, and market dynamics. Conduct analytics to evaluate overall business performance. Monitor forecast accuracy, identify root causes of variances, and recommend corrective actions. Manage inventory for both domestic and import programs. Support promotional planning, including product launches and seasonal sales surges. Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and sales teams to align forecasts with production and demand planning. Stay current on industry trends and translate insights into actionable strategies. Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

Qualifications

Demonstrated self-motivation, commitment, positivity, and integrity. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills. Knowledge of retail industry best practices. Experience with SPS Collaboration Analytics preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail, Sales, or a related field. 3+ years of retail business analyst experience; sporting goods account experience preferred.
