Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Sales Leader to drive revenue growth and market expansion within the Global Financial Services. This senior role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution, requiring deep industry expertise, AWS cloud knowledge, and proven ability to build and scale high-performing sales teams in complex B2B environments. Key Responsibilities: AWS Partnership & Cloud Strategy Leverage AWS partnership to accelerate sales cycles and expand market reach within financial services accounts
Collaborate with AWS field sales teams on joint opportunities and co-selling initiatives
Participate in AWS partner programs, training, and certification requirements
Utilize AWS Marketplace and partner referral programs to generate qualified leads
Align solution positioning with AWS cloud-first strategies and financial services cloud adoption patterns
Strategic Leadership Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the financial services sector including banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech
Partner with AWS field teams to identify and pursue joint opportunities within shared financial services accounts
Own P&L responsibility for the financial services vertical with accountability for revenue targets, margin optimization, and market share growth
Lead market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and threats within AWS ecosystem
Partner with product management to influence roadmap decisions based on financial services client needs
Collaborate with marketing to develop vertical-specific messaging, content, and demand generation programs
Sales Execution & Team Management Build, lead, and mentor a team of enterprise sales professionals specializing in financial services accounts
Personally manage relationships with tier-1 strategic accounts and C-level executives at major financial institutions
Drive complex, multi-million dollar sales cycles with lengthy evaluation processes and multiple stakeholders
Establish and maintain executive relationships across banking, insurance, wealth management, and regulatory bodies
Implement sales methodologies, processes, and tools to optimize team performance and deal progression
Revenue & Performance Management Own annual and quarterly revenue targets for the financial services vertical
Develop accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management reporting
Optimize sales processes to improve conversion rates, deal velocity, and average deal size
Collaborate with customer success teams to drive expansion revenue and renewal rates
Establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure team and individual performance
Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership Serve as the company's primary subject matter expert on financial services industry trends, regulations, and technology needs
Represent the company at industry conferences, client events, and analyst briefings
Stay current on regulatory changes (Basel III, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and their impact on client technology strategies
Develop deep understanding of financial services business models, operational challenges, and digital transformation initiatives
Required Qualifications: Experience & Background 15 years of enterprise B2B sales experience with at least 5 years specifically focused on financial services clients
3+ years of sales leadership experience managing teams of 5+ enterprise sales professionals
Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets
Experience selling complex technology solutions with significant deal sizes
Deep network of relationships within global financial institutions
Industry Knowledge Comprehensive understanding of financial services business models across banking, insurance, asset management, and capital markets
Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements across major markets
Experience with financial services technology landscape including core banking, trading systems, risk management, and regulatory reporting
Understanding of cloud adoption patterns, digital transformation initiatives, and emerging technologies in financial services
Skills & Competencies Exceptional executive presence with ability to engage C-level executives and board members
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with experience in market analysis and competitive positioning
Excellent communication and presentation skills for both internal and external audiences
Proven ability to build and scale high-performing sales teams in fast-growth environments
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales analytics tools
MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

Compensation & Benefits
Trianz compensation reflects the cost oflaboracross several US geographic markets. The base pay ranges between USD $$150,000 to $187,500. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
