Sales Manager – Fermentation & Biotech Location: Raleigh-Durham, NC (local candidates only) Start Date: January 2026 Full-time | $ 75,000-$90,000/year salary + Uncapped Commission Travel: Up to 25% (U.S. domestic) Remote Role, open to candidates in RTP North Carolina We are partnering with a cutting-edge global biotech company to identify a Sales Manager to lead U.S. market expansion efforts for its first U.S. site , headquartered in the Raleigh-Durham area . M otivated, entrepreneurial, and scientifically fluent sales professional to work in a fast-growing sector of the biotechnology space—particularly within fermentation-based technologies , including precision fermentation . Key Responsibilities Drive end-to-end sales efforts across the U.S. territory , owning deal sizes ranging from $250K to 7 figures+
Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities in alignment with the company's growth strategy
Leverage HubSpot CRM to manage pipeline, reporting, and customer data
Represent the brand at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings (25% travel)
Collaborate closely with global leadership to align U.S. operations with overall company goals
Build long-term strategic relationships with key customers in the fermentation, biotech, and synthetic biology industries
Support the company's scale-up in the U.S., with a clear trajectory toward executive leadership
Requirements 2–5 years of successful B2B sales experience; biotech, fermentation, or precision fermentation experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage and close complex, high-value deals
Self-starter with a “hunter” mentality; hungry, proactive, and goal-oriented
Experience working in or selling to R&D, CDMO, or biotech manufacturing environments is a plus
Proficient in HubSpot or similar CRM tools
Based in or willing to relocate to the Raleigh-Durham area
Comfortable with domestic travel (up to 25%)
