Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for recruiting, leading, coaching, and motivating a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the payment processing industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the payment solutions ecosystem, strong leadership skills, and a track record of successful sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and grow a high-performing sales team focused on driving revenue growth and achieving sales quotas set by CardSmart.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to target new clients and expand CardSmart’s market share within the payment solutions industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the Operations teams to develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and customized solutions that meet clients' needs.
- Train, mentor, and develop sales representatives, providing ongoing coaching to ensure continuous improvement in sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Set and monitor sales goals, performance metrics, and KPIs to drive team success and measure individual and team performance.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior leadership, highlighting progress toward targets, opportunities, and challenges.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes impacting the payment processing market to inform sales strategies.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients while ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customer support, underwriting/compliance, and vendor teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of sales experience, with at least 2+ years in a sales leadership or management role, preferably in the payment processing, fintech, or related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing solutions, POS systems, e-commerce payment gateways, and related technologies.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with C-level executives, business owners, and other key decision-makers.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g.HubSpot, Google Suite products) and sales analytics.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with B2B & ISV sales in the payment processing or financial technology industry.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in payment security, PCI compliance, mobile payments, and digital wallets.
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape in the payments industry (e.g., PSD2, GDPR).
