Position: Director of Sales Location: Metairie, LA Overview / Job Purpose The Director of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth through direct sales efforts, as well as setting and achieving sales and marketing goals for the property. This role focuses on maximizing occupancy and average daily rates for the Active Adult Community. Main Responsibilities - Collaborate on Marketing Plan and Key account action plans - Generate leads through various sales methods, including direct calls and cold calls - Build and maintain relationships with assigned and target accounts - Maintain organized and up-to-date client information for efficient service - Foster strong customer relations through clear communication and professional interactions - Conduct market research to capitalize on strengths and weaknesses in the industry - Manage departmental expenses to minimize costs - Active involvement in community and industry organizations - Ensure customer and resident satisfaction with hotel experience - Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work towards improvement - Perform other assigned duties Qualification Standards - Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field, or equivalent experience - Minimum five years of hospitality sales experience, with at least three years in a management role - Strong leadership and revenue management skills - Self-motivated and innovative mindset - Familiarity with local competition and industry trends - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Strong decision-making and analytical abilities - Proficiency in various computer software applications
