About the Role:

Join a fast-growing team at J Skinner Baking, where tradition meets innovation. As Sales Operations Manager, you’ll lead strategic initiatives helping develop and institute processes, manage project management cadence, analyze data providing insights, create selling stories, and optimize sales team performance to drive revenue growth and streamline operational efficiency. You’ll collaborate with sales leadership across the organization to drive results.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Driving data insight through daily / weekly reporting providing KPI measured results (OTIF, Sales Performance, Inventory Management, etc.)
  • Rolling out and managing the Project Management process and being the driver of executional results
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Commercial Planning, Operations, R&D/Quality, and Category Insights
  • Leveraging data insights to create fact based selling stories driving growth with our customers and new opportunities

This role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer.

This is a full-time role (Remote) with company benefits. Travel is up to 10%.

What You’ll Do – Sales Operations Manager at J Skinner Baking

As a dynamic thought leader running our Sales Operations, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and right-hand to the commercial team, providing strategic insights and operational leverage. This role blends commercial strategy, customer development, and cross-functional execution to deliver top-line results and market leadership.

Strategic Growth & Customer Development

  • Lead new item, customer, and warehouse setup and changes including price changes, customer portals, and customer setup documents
  • Manage on-going contract file ensuring all contracts are fully executed by both parties

Data-Driven Selling & Reporting

  • Leverage syndicated and customer-specific data to build fact-based selling stories
  • Utilize BI tools—sales reporting, forecasting, customer insights—to inform daily / weekly reporting internally and externally with key customers
  • Provide analysis and insight to support data-driven decision-making around go-to-market strategy, resource allocation, and territory planning
  • Monitor and report on performance against sales goals, identifying gaps and areas for improvement
  • Weekly OTIF reporting and communication across the organization

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, NPD, Demand Planning, and Operations to optimize sales flow
  • Lead cross-functional project management process driving pricing, onboarding, and launch execution ensuring we launch with excellence
  • Builds strong processes for Ad hoc tasks driving quick resolution

About You:

  • Experience with Scintilla, 84.51, and /or Nielsen / IRI / Spins
  • Experience developing, planning and leading project management and is HIGHLY organized
  • Works with a high sense of urgency to resolve open tasks, initiatives, and ad hoc requests
  • A collaborative team player who can take ownership of initiatives and work independently
  • Ability to design and manage processes that scale, ensuring accuracy and consistency while remaining agile to business changes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to gather, structure, and analyze large data sets to derive insights.
  • Proficiency in sales analytics and reporting; advanced Excel skills and experience building dashboards or reports (Power BI, or other analytics modules).
  • Comfortable using data to make decisions and craft compelling narratives influencing others.
  • Ability to create fact based selling stories for the sales team to help drive new business development and customer execution; advanced PowerPoint skills is required
  • Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow-through; can own and take strategic initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred.
  • Someone who has high standards, takes ownership, and is invested in the outcome
  • Someone who proactively helps others, stays positive and has a good sense of humor
