JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing the growth of both revenue and in-bound tire volume, utilizing a consultative approach in the sale of Tire Collection and Recycling services to locally serviced accounts as assigned. Success will be measured by the person’s ability to retain existing revenue and tire volume and closing new business as well as managing pricing on an account-by-account basis to achieve budgeted goals. Activities include developing long-term relationships with customers, identifying and pursuing new opportunities with potential customers, and to retain and support new business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Initiating business to business sales relationships with existing customers • Developing proposals and offerings to secure volume and grow new business • Research and become fluent in all facets of Tire Recycling • Attending conferences/symposiums as a means of networking and staying current with industry-and market-related information • Assignment management • Building trusting relationships • Providing high-impact communication • Able to identify pertinent Local, County, State, and/or Federal government regulations • Responsible for retaining existing tire volume and prospecting and closing to achieve budgeted volume goals at profitable margins • Manage both existing customers and prospect opportunities by developing and maintaining sound sales plans, approaches and solutions • Sales negotiation • Effectively uses the company’s tools and resources (i.e., Prospect and Customer Database, Proposal Programs, Pricing Tools, etc. as available) • Performs all other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: • The ability to convert new business inquiries into secured customers • Ability to transform potential customer cancellations into retained customers through professional negotiation • A high degree of interpersonal and relationship-building skills • Demonstrates ability to solve customer problems, working to meet their goals and company objectives • Techniques for identifying and managing new business opportunities • Understands the competitive landscape in the market(s) • Analyze and solve problems and conduct formal presentations. • Excellent business, creative and imaginative thinking, and communication skills • Recognizes relationship networks and utilizes them to build a customer base • Understands how to analyze sales trend data • Ability to calculate prices using guidelines • Strong decision-making skills • Personal effectiveness/credibility • Problem solving/analysis • Teamwork orientation • Technical capacity • Frequent contact with the public and staff under a variety of circumstances requires the ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written) with others of all social and economic levels from a diverse cultural and ethnic population. • Ability to read and interpret general business writing and to write routine reports, business correspondence, and emails. • Hybrid – Flex Schedule (Ability to work On Site and Remote) • Communication proficiency (spoken and written) • Bilingual English/Spanish strong preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years in direct business – to – business sales, and business -to – business account management, required. • Bachelor’s degrees in Sales/Marketing plus 3 years of progressive and successful business-to-business sales and account management, preferred.
