Our client, a European leader in the design and manufacturing of automated assembly and testing stations for the automotive industry, is recruiting an Independent Sales Representative to drive business development and generate qualified RFQs for high-value automation projects in the United States.

Founded in 1975, the company has a strong international presence and is recognized as a premium supplier of tailor-made industrial automation solutions, including Turbocharger Testing Systems, Electric Motor Assembly Lines, and Brake & Steering Modules. With existing U.S. clients and a reputation for excellence, the company now seeks to strengthen its local commercial footprint.

  • Reporting to: Head of International Business Development (Italy HQ)


Missions

1. Business Development & Market Presence

  • Identify new business opportunities and generate RFQs for customized assembly and testing lines.
  • Expand the company’s presence within the U.S. automotive and mobility sector (OEMs, Tier 1s, etc.).

2. Key Account Acquisition & Relationship Management

Leverage your network to approach engineering and procurement teams.

  • Develop trusted relationships with prospects and existing clients.
  • Act as the local point of contact, ensuring reactivity and support.

3. Collaboration & Reporting

  • Collaborate closely with technical teams in Italy for proposal development and project evaluation.
  • Maintain an active pipeline and report on market feedback, lead progression, and RFQ generation

Profile
  • Solid technical sales experience (3+ years), ideally in industrial automation or the automotive sector.
  • Strong network of industry contacts across OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or system integrators.
  • Self-employed or able to operate as an independent contractor.
  • Technically literate: familiarity with automation systems, robotic integration, PLC/SCADA, or related technologies.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (Italian/Spanish) are a plus.
