We're looking for a Sales Representative who can sell lab testing like it's the best thing since sliced bread (because it kind of is) to join our Tentamus Team in Portland, Oregon. Food, water, agricultural products, medicine, skincare, supplements-if people eat it, drink it, smear it on, come in contact with, or swallow it, odds are someone somewhere wants to be 100% sure it's not secretly awful. That's us. We're a global network of third-party testing labs with brains, standards, and a deep love for all things microbio -chemical-analytical. Now we need you to help spread the word. As our Portland, Oregon-based Sales Representative, you'll be the bold, personable bridge between brilliant lab folks and the clients who need them. You'll report to our VP of Sales and Marketing and tackle all the classics: Hunt down new customers with research, cold calls, and pure charm Work the tradeshow circuit like the business-casual rockstar you are Build real relationships (not the awkward, forced kind) with clients Actually learn what people need and offer solutions that make sense Track your wins, losses, and brilliant ideas using a CRM (yes, we know, but it's necessary) Present our services in a way that's compelling, clear, and free of sleep-inducing jargon Stay on top of industry trends so you don't get bamboozled at networking events Team up with marketing to create sales magic-and occasionally debate font choices Keep your clients happy, informed, and ready to work with us again and again Schedule & Travel Info This is a full-time , hybrid position , requiring 40 hours of work per week. Th is legendary role focuses on Columbia Laboratories in Portland, OR and involves up to 50% travel annually. Travel will include hotels, planes, client visits, tradeshows, possibly eating boxed lunches in a rental car. It's the full experience. What We're Looking For You don't need to have worked in a lab (though that's really cool if you have) . What you do need is: You've got a sparkle in your eye and at least 1–3 years of sales experience -bonus points if it's in science-y spaces like Environmental Water Testing, Agricultural Product Testing, and Pesticide Residue Testing You're a motivated, people-person who can also actually sell things and are target driven with a proven track record in sales. You're comfortable working solo or as part of a team and have strong communication skills. (you can vibe with Teams chats , client calls, and quiet grind time). You know your wa y around Microsoft Office and a CRM system -or y ou're willing to become besties with both. You've go t a valid driver's license and are cool with hitting the road for client visits and events. You're curious, coachable, and not afraid to ask questions (or answer them).
