We are seeking a Sales Tax Administrator to join our client's Indirect US Tax team. This role plays a key part in supporting compliance activities related to Sales/Use tax, unclaimed property filings, and other non-income tax requirements for U.S.-based companies managed through the U.S. Shared Services Center.
The position offers exposure to both domestic and international collaboration, working with offshore tax teams as well as multiple internal departments. This role reports directly to the Manager of Tax. What You'll Do As a Sales Tax Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate tax-related filings while providing support across various compliance activities. Key responsibilities include: Manage filing deadlines : Track monthly, quarterly, and annual due dates to ensure all submissions are completed on time.
Prepare and process filings : Create payment vouchers, prepare mailings, and submit electronic returns and payments through state websites.
Maintain accurate records : Save filing confirmations, backups, and state-related communications in the appropriate folders.
Support audits : Assist with gathering information and documentation for sales and use tax audits.
Handle miscellaneous filings : Support additional non-income tax requirements such as annual reports, business licenses, and unclaimed property reporting.
Research exemptions : Validate exempt documentation requests from business units and suppliers.
