Position Overview Provide expert school psychology services to students and educational teams through advanced virtual platforms while maintaining the clinical rigor and professional standards expected in educational psychology practice. This remote position offers the opportunity to make meaningful impacts on student learning and mental health.
Core Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations via virtual platforms Administer and interpret standardized assessments for special education eligibility Develop evidence-based intervention plans addressing academic and behavioral concerns Provide virtual counseling and therapeutic services to students with diverse needs Consult with teachers and administrators regarding student support strategies Participate in virtual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning Conduct virtual crisis intervention and mental health emergency response Support implementation of positive behavioral interventions and supports Essential Qualifications Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from NASP-approved program Current Michigan School Psychologist license Minimum 2 years of experience in educational or school-based settings Competency with psychological assessment instruments and virtual administration Strong understanding of special education law and evaluation procedures Proficiency with virtual platforms and educational technology systems Clinical Expertise Experience with cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for learning and behavioral difficulties Understanding of trauma-informed practices and crisis intervention protocols Familiarity with Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Technical Requirements Reliable high-speed internet for secure assessment and therapy sessions Professional workspace ensuring confidentiality and appropriate testing environment Access to virtual assessment platforms and psychological testing software Quality video and audio equipment for effective virtual interactions Remote Work Structure Structured weekly schedule accommodating assessment and intervention needs Professional supervision and consultation through virtual platforms Ongoing training in virtual assessment and intervention techniques Collaborative team environment supporting remote psychological practice Weekly time commitment typically spans 35-37.5 hours, structured to provide comprehensive psychological services while accommodating the unique requirements of remote assessment and intervention delivery.
