The Security Business Development (BD) team is responsible for strategic partnerships, opportunity identification, and growth initiatives across Microsoft's Security platform and product portfolios. This role will join the team responsible for Microsoft Threat Protection (Defender product portfolio) - Endpoint security, Email security, XDR, SIEM, Cloud security, SaaS security, AI security, and Identity. We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our Security BD team. The ideal candidate will be customer- and partner-focused, excelling in developing partnership and acquisition strategies, business analysis, negotiation, and deal management execution. Our high-performing, collaborative team values diverse perspectives, embraces trying new things, and learns from outcomes to improve. Responsibilities Partner & Customer Focus : Leverages relationships as a trusted advisor to advise large, high-impact customers and partners across multiple geographies and cultures. Provides industry expertise and influences decision-making around product roadmaps and strategies. Partnership Strategy : Creates value propositions based on customer, partner, and company needs. Positions Microsoft's value against competitors, influences build/buy/partner decisions, and identifies opportunities across business areas and geographies. Deal Management : Leads negotiations across deal stages, resolves issues, and establishes best practices. Represents Microsoft in key interactions and structures scalable solutions for complex opportunities. Deal Governance : Develops plans for managing deals, collaborates with stakeholders, and oversees execution. Manages escalations and captures learnings to improve future deals.
