DESCRIPTION:

The Amazon Devices Offline Sales & Marketing team is looking for a Sr Mgr of Account Mgt to lead our relationship with third party retail partners (e.g., Best Buy, Target, The Home Depot, Lowe's). This role will lead a team of sales professionals and manage partner relationships to expand product selection and distribution both in-store and online across Amazon 1st party devices including Kindle, Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, eero and more. We anticipate customer and partner needs, meet our customers where they shop, and engage throughout the product lifecycle. We enable the invention and sales of new and engaging devices and services that customers around the world love.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Sr. Manager - Acct Mgt for Offline Sales & Mktg , your role will focus on growing our Devices business through North American (US, CA, MX) partners both in-store and online. This role manages a team of Account Managers who are responsible for gaining/growing assortment of all first party Amazon Devices across retailers. This team will own the analysis of category distribution in physical retail, creation of sales and marketing strategies, execution of promotional activities, and in-store deployment strategies. You will work with both internal and external teams' product, business development, sales, installation, and logistics teams to drive financially viable, high-volume programs that provide our channel partners, distributors, and end users with top-tier solutions. You will represent the business in meetings with internal leadership and meet regularly with our channel partners' leadership teams to develop long term strategies as well as drive short term program executions.


Key job responsibilities
Business Development:
- Author and execute the strategy for how and where new products and categories are introduced in physical retail.
- Establish processes and tenets to guide decision making across the team as they dive deep into their assigned accounts to meet sales objectives.
- Formulate a rolling 3-year expansion strategy that is updated and reviewed with senior leadership semi-annually.
- Bring the Voice-of-the-customer to the product teams to help influence product roadmaps, features and address current pain points.

Management:
- Lead a team of Account Managers managing similar inputs across a diverse set of product categories.
- Develop and track VP level SMART goals with partner teams to ensure business cases are met.
- Engage with senior leadership counterparts at multiple distribution partners as needed to support the success of the team.
- Inspect processes and mechanisms across the team that track sales forecasts, determine allocations, and plan shipments for each SKU.
- Identify process gaps and collaborate with internal teams to build solutions that scale to support global teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in leadership roles in sales operations, sales strategy, finance, business development, or other related fields
- Experience in negotiating contracts at the VP-level across channel partners and agencies.
- Must have a strong analytical background with a solid understanding of distribution networks, channel P&Ls.
- Adept at managing both strategic and operational aspects of the role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Senior Leadership.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- 10+ years of relevant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience
- MBA
- Existing or past external relationships with 3P retailers a plus.
- Proven track of record of developing new channel verticals to drive business outcomes.
- Excellent communicator, with a track record of using writing to drive decisions and outcomes.
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
