Job Summary The Senior Manager, Business Development, will play a critical role in driving global sales and business development strategy for our Cell and Gene Therapies (CGT) Technologies division. Reporting to the Senior Director for Sales and Business Development, the Senior Manager will focus on growing our portfolio by establishing strategic partnerships and pursuing business development initiatives in the rapidly advancing field of cell and gene therapies. The Senior Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Field Application Specialists, R&D, Product Management, and Legal, to develop and implement strategies that foster innovation and growth, aligned with business objectives and market needs. This role is ideal for a strategic, driven individual with deep industry knowledge in Cell & Gene Therapies. Additional Details This position may be remote, with willingness and ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally, including regular trips to our U.S. headquarters in Lake Zurich, IL. Base salary range: $163,000 - $182,000 Eligible for an annual bonus of 14% of base salary, with final pay based on experience, education, skills, and abilities. Responsibilities Develop and execute business strategies to expand the Cell & Gene Therapies division through partnerships, collaborations, and licensing deals. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with pharmaceutical, biotech companies, academic institutions, CDMOs, and other stakeholders. Negotiate and structure complex agreements, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation. Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics, providing strategic insights to leadership. Collaborate with R&D, product management, legal, and commercial teams to assess feasibility, drive objectives, and manage project timelines. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 8+ years in sales and/or business development, with 3+ years specifically in the Cell and Gene Therapies industry. Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and analytics. Ability to travel up to 40%, including international travel.
