Senior Sales Manager, Yankee Stadium Events

Description:

The Senior Sales Manager, Yankee Stadium Events is responsible for generating revenue and driving sales for all non-baseball events hosted at Yankee Stadium, including conferences, corporate outings, private functions, and trade shows. The role will focus primarily on sales and revenue generation, client relationship management, and reporting functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities for non-baseball events, creating innovative event solutions and leveraging unique spaces within the Stadium.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed individual and departmental revenue goals.
- Prepare proposals and close sales for private, social, and corporate events, serving as the main point of contact throughout the sales cycle, ensuring a seamless handoff to stadium operations teams.
- Conduct site visits, presentations, and follow-up meetings to convert leads into confirmed bookings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and community partners.
- Identify trends, competitor offerings and innovative opportunities to enhance the ballpark’s competitive position in the venue and event marketplace, including by participating in industry events and conferences.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and client records, and assist with financial tracking, inputting events, expected revenue and operating costs, and prepare regular sales activity and revenue reports for leadership.
- Manage more junior staff members.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Sports Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of successful sales experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or events industry, with a demonstrable book of business.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding revenue goals.
- Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- High level of client interaction requiring clear written and verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Experience as a problem solver, team player, a flexible self-starter, with a positive outlook, a high energy level and strong organizational skills.
- Some managerial experience preferred.
