Your New Role The Sr. Manager is a key finance leader partnering with the WBD Content Sales group which is responsible for all Licensing and Home Entertainment sales of film and television product in the U.S. & Canada. Responsible for driving alignment between Licensing and Transactional, as well as Domestic and International, the Sr. Manager works with business unit executives, finance executives, and Group FP&A, to provide cross functional and cross geographical analysis and support business decision making. The Sr. Manager leverages COE resources to develop a continuous cycle of improvement across all Content Sales areas including executive reporting, analysis, analytics and business partnership. Your Role Accountabilities Global Pacing, Analytics, Insights Work across all areas of Content Sales (Licensing/Transactional; Domestic/International):Responsible for global financial view of Content SalesCreate greater visibility, insights and KPIs aligned to global business Develop internal timetables and coordinate with Business Unit finance leads on deliverablesWork with business unit and finance partners to develop and monitor global operating metrics, including Risks & OpportunitiesManagement presentationsWork with COE on Overhead Sales Decision Support Provide business decision support across global businesses including: Building and preparing long term plans; windowing analysis, business justifications, projected financials, and investment analysis, including NPV, ROI, payback, and IRR; updating and assessing revenue pipelines and financial impacts; and comparing actual operating results to business plans and budgets. Perform analysis to assist management with making business decisions. Ultimates Coordinate global Content Sales greenlight ultimates requests Review ultimates (TV and Theatrical) prepared by COE Resources, including detailed worksheets and audit submissions. Help facilitate any research, submission through SAP, and variance explanations for corporate. Support Internal and External audits (participations, SOX, corporate) requests by ensuring document support, and coordination with accounting, and/or business unit finance team. Transformation Drive and support greater automation and streamlining of business processes Advocate for technology investment and modernizing business tools Develop and own initiatives that reimagine and improve legacy practices Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of progressive experience in financial management experience Experience in entertainment and understanding of content life cycle requiredExperience in home entertainment and content licensing strongly preferred Experience building executive communication documents that are concise and highlight issues and recommendations Experience in managing large data and excel models System (e.g. SAP/Essbase/Business Object) experience preferred Understanding general accounting principles Experience in multi-divisional financial reporting CPA / MBA (preferred) BA/BS in Finance or Accounting or related field required. Software knowledge/skills: MS Excel (at the intermediate/advanced level), Essbase (intermediate level), MS PowerPoint (required), SAP BW (required), SQL(preferred), Business Objects (preferred) Strong finance analytical skills required Must have ability to translate business challenges into solutions and process improvements Commitment to produce accurate, reliable and high-quality work in timely manner Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills Interest in working with personnel with varying levels of financial expertise Ability to lead multiple projects and bring them to a successful conclusion with aggressive deadlines Ability to interact successfully with all levels of staff, management and customers Effective in public speaking and controlling meeting objectives Ability to work calmly and productively under time constraints Self-starter, strategic and innovative thinker Ability to work independently and know when to communicate updates Detail oriented; hands on approach Professional demeanor, focused, and well organized Strong ability to motivate staff and encourage a team player mentality Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities with a professional attitude and to deliver professional results How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important!
