About The Role
As Senior Manager, Sales planning and strategy at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in executing against top company business objectives and help define our sales strategy and planning roadmap. You will lead a team of sales planners and analysts, with responsibilities ranging from strategic design of incentives and integration of new products into the sales GTM strategy to operational design of compensation plans, plan implementation, and communicating metrics for commissions. You will provide analytical and technical support to the successful administration of global sales incentive programs while building partnerships and delivering real-time insights. You will report to the Director of Sales Strategy and Planning and work closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Strategic Leadership: Lead a high-performing team of sales planners and analysts to own the development, implementation and administration of new and existing sales incentive structures for our SMB Post Sales team.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, HR and Product to drive alignment and support decision-making.
Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve sales performance and efficiency.
Sales Performance Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize sales performance, including territory planning, pricing strategies, and salesforce effectiveness.
Forecasting and Reporting: Develop and maintain sales forecasting models, track key performance metrics, and prepare regular reports for executive leadership and Sales teams.
Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the Sales planning team.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) is a plus.
Proven experience in a leadership role within Sales operations, Sales planning or related field, preferably in the technology marketplace, logistics, or e-commerce industry.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
A demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.

Qualifications
Proven experience in a leadership role within Sales operations, Sales planning or related field, preferably in the technology marketplace, logistics, or e-commerce industry.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) is a plus.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a complex and fast moving environment
Excellent analytical thinker who can deliver actionable recommendations out of complex datasets; SQL experience strongly preferred as is experience with Salesforce/Excel
Expert communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Haves
You have experience working with sales organizations
You have experience with sales incentive design
You have experience with Incentive Management tools (e.g. Anaplan, Xactly)

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $151,000—$222,100 USD, plus opportunities for equity grants. Base pay is localized by work location. Benefits include a comprehensive package with health insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, paid parental leave, wellness benefits, paid time off and paid sick leave where applicable, and additional programs as described on the careers page.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
For hourly roles: vacation and paid sick time accrued according to hours worked.
