This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a high-performing Team Lead or Sr. SDR to take the next step into leadership. As a Principal Team Lead, you’ll gain hands-on experience leading a team while learning the foundational skills needed to run a successful SDR team. This position will be instrumental in developing Deltek’s future sales leaders, collaborating with leadership across departments, and playing a critical role in the success of the company. We have a fast-paced, progressive environment with a structured sales development process where you will be exposed to all the elements involved with selling software. Many of our seasoned sales professionals have gone on to roles supporting different Deltek product lines taking the skills they developed in our Sales Development Team into new territories. • Support and coach a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in their daily activities and outreach efforts. • Serve as a role model for SDR best practices, including call quality, email strategy, and pipeline generation. • Provide hands-on guidance and feedback through regular call reviews, side-by-sides, and 1:1 coaching sessions. • Help maintain the SalesLoft platform and CRM system by ensuring accurate data entry and assisting with basic reporting needs. • Reinforce adherence to established SDR processes and workflows. • Foster a positive, performance-driven team culture focused on learning and development. • Collaborate with senior leadership and other SDR leaders to share team insights and surface operational challenges. • Assist in onboarding and ramping new SDRs by sharing peer-level experience and support. • Participate in team meetings focused primarily on sharing coaching wins and areas of opportunity as a means to learn from others in similar roles.2 • Actively support the long-term career development of SDRs by identifying growth opportunities, providing feedback aligned with promotion criteria, and helping team members prepare for internal mobility. • Partner with senior SDR leadership to ensure team members are on track for advancement and are equipped with the skills and experiences needed to succeed in future roles. Qualifications • 2+ years of experience as an SDR in the software industry. • 6+ months as an SDR Team Lead preferred. • Demonstrated ability to coach or mentor peers and contribute to team success. • Strong understanding of the SDR role and modern prospecting techniques. • Familiarity with Salesforce and sales engagement platforms (e.g., SalesLoft). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Passion for leadership and team development. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
