Technical Sales Specialist - Overland Park, KS ADM Pet Nutrition, Inc. This is an exempt level position.
We are seeking a proven leader in account management/technical sales support to hold the position of Technical Sales Specialist. This position will leverage their technical expertise to understand customer needs, present solutions and manage the sales strategy. This role combines technical knowledge with sales and business acumen to deliver value to customers, build strong relationships, and achieve revenue targets. The Technical Sales Specialist will work closely with operations, CD&D (product development), and marketing teams to ensure that the company's products or services align with customer requirements. Sales activity will focus on uncovering and understanding individual customer goals and priorities and then positioning the appropriate ADM solution to meet those needs. Responsibilities for this position include: Annually develop and periodically update a comprehensive territory business plan including financial targets and supporting account strategies. Attain the established fiscal year sales and expense targets. Develop close customer relationships to facilitate business opportunities between ADM and the assigned customers. Develop technical solutions that address customer requirements and demonstrate product value Identify all potential accounts within the assigned territory, develop an account profile for each and utilize these customer/prospect files in planning, goal setting and analyzing each account’s potential. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products, services, and industry trends. Collaborate with marketing and CD&D teams to stay updated on product developments and innovations. Translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand benefits for customers Monitor and report product pricing in the assigned region along with other industry trends and competitor activities. Requirements for this position include: Bachelor’s degree in Extrusion Technology or related area, Agriculture or Ag Business/Marketing with pet industry knowledge, including current trends in manufacturing and markets and an understanding of key participants and influencers. 2-3 years of B2B sales experience required, 4-5 years is preferred. Experience in extrusion manufacturing is also preferred Ability to creatively solve problems and build consensus with others for recommendations. Superior verbal and written communications, time management, and organizational skills. Effective presentation and sales skills and computer knowledge with Microsoft Office applications. REF:101776BR Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between: $78,000.00 - $145,700.00 Salaried Incentive Plan The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus Benefits and Perks
