Join our dynamic team at Flender as a Technical Sales Support Professional, where you'll play a vital role in connecting our cutting-edge technical solutions with the needs of our diverse industrial clients. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where innovation meets customer satisfaction across industries such as Cement, Mining, Oil & Gas, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Technical Support:
Technical Expertise: Analyze and interpret technical specifications from a broad range of customers and industrial markets such as Cement, Mining, Oil & Gas, Rubber & Plastics, Water & Wastewater, Pulp & Paper, Cranes, Power Generation, Steel, and Sugar.
Proposal Development: Craft and present compelling technical and commercial proposals for industrial gear units, couplings, drive trains, condition monitoring and more, leveraging internal tools and resources.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical issues to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Order Clarification: Review, clarify, and process technical and commercial aspects prior to order acceptance.
Vendor Coordination: Prepare and clarify requests for vendor-supplied components, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
Customer Communication: Engage with customers on product-related topics, including technical aspects, order documentation, and quote development.
Collaboration: Coordinate technical and commercial solutions with local and HQ teams and support internal order management from a technical standpoint.
ERP and Systems Management: Utilize and maintain internal ERP and case management systems efficiently.
Industry Engagement: Participate in customer meetings, marketing events, and trade shows, with a travel expectation of approximately 10%.
End-to-End Order Support: Order Management: Process, confirm, and manage customer orders in the ERP system.
Material and Request Handling: Assist with material returns and expedite requests, and coordinate with order management teams to provide order status updates.
Sales Channel Support: Deliver flexible, responsive support to all Flender sales channels.
Required Knowledge / Education / Skills Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales, customer service, or application engineering (inside or outside sales).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to review and understand technical drawings and documents.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities for technical and commercial discussions with customers.
Software Skills: Intermediate proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Skilled in leveraging Salesforce, SAP, and configuration tools to drive efficiency and deliver impactful business solutions.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Analytical Skills: Open to analyzing and improving processes, business methods, and technical components.
Goal Management: Capable of task management and setting realistic goals to achieve targets.
Preferred Qualifications Customer Interaction: Experience working with customers in a sales setting, preferably within industrial sectors.
Design Experience: Familiarity with design departments and tools.
Creativity and Solution Orientation: Possess a creative and solutions-focused mindset.
Diversity and Team Environment: Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multifunctional team environment.
