As part of our mission-driven growth to do some good for animals and the planet, we're seeking an exceptional Territory Sales Manager to expand our brand across the Mid-Atlantic Territory. Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales – Eastern Region, you'll play a key role in driving growth, building strong relationships, and championing the Open Farm brand.
Past experience in the pet industry and/or as a Territory Sales Manager is a plus.
Note: This role requires flexible work arrangements, including occasional evenings and weekends, with up to 60% overnight travel. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license. This position will cover Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, or Virginia.
In this role, you will:
Sales Optimization:
Achieve or exceed sales targets for your territory by developing and executing sales strategies.
Develop sales forecasts and strategies based on data, market trends, and customer insights.
Manage budgets related to sales activities, including travel, promotions, and customer engagements.
Customer Focus:
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, distributors, and retailers within the territory.
Build strong relationships through regular visits and communication to understand needs and provide solutions.
Provide training and support on product features, benefits, and selling techniques.
Address customer issues promptly and collaborate with internal teams for solutions.
Business Development/Operations:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
Collaborate with marketing on promotional campaigns, product launches, and events.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback; report findings.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
