One of our core offerings is our compliant and scalable Rev Gen execution model , designed to support both athletes and university partners from start to finish. As a Sales Representative, you’ll play a central role in guiding clients through the process, ensuring that all steps are completed and enabling seamless activation and payment execution.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Strategic Sales Representative based in Indianapolis, Indiana to lead our business development efforts in the Indianapolis University market. This individual will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, nurturing key relationships and contributing to the growth of our NIL partnerships in the region.
This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role where your ability to influence decision-makers and close deals will directly contribute to the success of student-athletes, brands and TheLinkU as a whole.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with athletes, university personnel, and brand partners - starting with stakeholders in and around Indianapolis University
Meet with prospective partners to promote TheLinkU’s national offerings, with a focus on NIL and Rev Gen program implementation
Identify, pitch and close new business opportunities using a consultative sales approach tailored to client needs
Negotiate and secure partnership agreements that create value for all parties involved
Work closely with internal teams (marketing, client success, product) to ensure smooth onboarding, execution and retention
Represent TheLinkU at client meetings, on-campus events and industry gatherings
Maintain accurate records of activities, pipelines and results in CRM software
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to broader company goals
What We’re Looking For:
Preferred 2 years of proven B2B sales experience, ideally in sports, SaaS, marketing, or NIL-related sectors
Deep understanding of or passion for the NIL space, college athletics, and Indianapolis Universitylocal market
High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders
Results-oriented mindset with strong negotiation and closing capabilities
Strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving industry
Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a collaborative team
Comfortable with non-traditional work hours (standard hours are approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but flexibility is required based on client schedules)
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Must be based in or near Indianapolis, Indiana
