Overview: The Back Room Lead is responsible for overseeing all operations in the back room and processing area of the thrift store. Thrift Store/Consignment pricing knowledge is a MUST. Manage the receiving, sorting, pricing and stocking of donated merchandise. The Back Room Lead will supervise and direct the work of associates and volunteers. Responsibilities: Inspect, evaluate condition, and price all incoming donated merchandise according to established guidelines Train and oversee processing associates/volunteers in proper pricing, sorting and stocking procedures Maintain an organized, clean and safe back room environment at all times Monitor processing workflow to ensure productivity goals are met Rotate stock to the sales floor ensuring accurate pricing and merchandising standards Identify items of higher value for online sales and special pricing Keep accurate records of items processed Coordinate with truck drivers for donation pick-ups and deliveries Process customer tax receipts for donated goods Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: MUST have thrift store/consignment pricing experience/knowledge High school diploma or equivalent Strong leadership and supervisory skills Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly Basic math and computer skills High attention to detail and organization Excellent customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Work Location: In person
