Summary
The Vehicle Rental Sales Specialist serves as the primary sales representative responsible for renting vehicles to our existing lease and commercial rental clients, while also engaging potential commercial rental customers and individual consumers. This role requires collaboration with various teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management, all while showcasing exceptional customer service skills.
Essential Functions
Sales & Marketing: Manage the sales process for incoming calls and proactively reach out to potential clients. Execute the marketing plan effectively. Ensure the marketing database is current and accurate. Optimize rates in the marketplace and generate leads for rentals, leases, and used vehicle sales. Strengthen and grow relationships with existing customers to enhance business opportunities.
Operations & Asset Management: Oversee the profitability and operations of the rental location. Work closely with Maintenance, Asset Management, and other departments to ensure customer contentment. Understand marketplace conditions to enhance fleet utilization.
Customer Relationships: Propel revenue growth by nurturing and expanding customer relationships. Ensure a high level of satisfaction for all clients. Address and resolve customer concerns to foster ongoing relationships.
Communication: Build effective relationships with various stakeholders. Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations. Clearly communicate Ryder’s products and services to clients.
Additional Responsibilities
As needed and based on scheduling, the Vehicle Rental Sales Specialist may take on the duties of an On-Call Representative.
Perform other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one year sales experience required.
Compensation Information :
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by various factors, including relevant experience and education. The compensation range for this position is:
Pay Type: Hourly
Minimum Pay Range: 17.00
Maximum Pay Range: 20.00
