Our Vice President of Sales & Account Management is responsible for shaping the company’s vision for Health Plan growth by building and mentoring high-performing sales and account management teams. This role aligns departmental strategies with broader organizational goals, achieving sales and retention targets across commercial and government business lines. The VP will set growth targets, contribute to product/benefit design, explore new markets, develop sales and account strategies, advise on pricing, oversee account implementations, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Salary Range 200,000 ~ 250,000 The offered base pay may vary within this range based on your knowledge, skills, and experience. Hybrid Work Location This role is hybrid, requiring regular presence at our office located at WPS Corporate Center Building, 1717 W. Broadway, Madison, WI. Is this opportunity right for you? If you: Enjoy collaborating with senior leadership to develop innovative strategies that drive growth, customer satisfaction, and market share. Can define and track sales objectives, performance metrics, and growth targets, adjusting strategies as needed. Want to partner with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Network, etc.) and external stakeholders (TPA, PBM) to meet growth and profitability goals. Excel at building relationships with key customers like employers, agents, brokers, and FMOs. Establish and manage value-added partnerships (e.g., health clubs, clinics). Provide strategic guidance on market expansion and product positioning. Leverage data and technology to improve performance and reduce costs. Assess risks and opportunities, developing mitigation or capitalization strategies. Thrive on coaching and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of accountability and engagement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or equivalent experience (10+ years). At least 10 years of experience in health plans. Over 5 years of leadership managing sales and account management teams. Strong knowledge of commercial and government health products. Ability to operate autonomously at a senior level, setting and executing strategic initiatives. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Data-driven approach to sales and financial performance. Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. Wisconsin Health and Life Insurance license or ability to obtain within 60 days. Preferred Qualifications Over 10 years of leadership in health plan sales and management. Experience selling Medicare Supplement, ASO/self-funded, and level-funded products. Established relationships with Wisconsin-based agents and brokers. Experience with Wisconsin health plan markets and products. Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field. Remote Work Requirements High-speed internet (cable or fiber). Minimum 10 Mbps downstream, 1 Mbps upstream.
