About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Sales and Marketing with a strong background in logistics, particularly in the areas of freight forwarding, van line operations, and 3PL services. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing integrated sales and marketing strategies across B2B, B2C, and B2G segments. This executive leadership role requires a strategic individual who can lead national business development initiatives, mentor and manage sales and marketing teams, and build out revenue channels. Key responsibilities include overseeing new business development, guiding the execution of CRM platforms, and leading the RFP/RFQ strategy for corporate and government clients. The role also involves representing the company at various events and aligning branding and go-to-market strategies with the company's goals.

Applicants for the Vice President of Sales and Marketing position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in sales and marketing, with at least 7 years in a leadership capacity. A proven track record in managing national or regional sales teams and growing complex pipelines is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CRM tools, forecasting, and pipeline visibility, and must be willing to relocate to Virginia and travel as needed. Vertical expertise in industries such as aerospace, high-tech, automotive, industrial and energy, life sciences, consumer goods, and government and military logistics is required. Core skills should include freight pricing and carrier negotiation, customs and regulatory compliance, project and operations management, and high-level client presentations.
