Overview

As a key member of the Sales team, the Vice President of Sales, SafePointe will manage SoundThinking’s SafePointe product sales program. While the SafePointe product will be your primary focus, you will also need to be conversant with the broader suite of SoundThinking products, to take advantage of potential cross-selling opportunities. SoundThinking has marketing and sales support operations to assist you in growing the sales pipeline and booking SafePointe contracts. This significant role calls for a versatile sales leader, capable of providing strategic direction that aligns with our business objectives and goals. The Vice President of Sales, SafePointe is anticipated to be the driving force behind productivity and sales for the SafePointe product line.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes specific sales plans that align with the company's annual revenue and profitability targets.
  • Use technology, such as AI, to enhance operational efficiency and outcomes.
  • Provides strategic leadership to the SafePointe sales team and anticipates industry trends to ensure company goals are met.
  • Contributes to the company’s business objectives and goals.
  • Drives and supports company financial performance and demonstrates a deep understanding of financial data.
  • Helps define and execute the company’s sense of purpose, its business, product and market strategies. Determines tactics for the strategy and executes them.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to enhance our Value Proposition, ROI, optimize the pricing model for the SafePointe product, and refine our messaging strategies.
  • Coordinates with Marketing for demand generation efforts and Sales Operations to streamline the messaging and efficacy of our proposal templates and proposals, thereby bolstering the sales funnel for the SafePointe product.
  • Defines and promotes alternative funding sources for the product.
  • Understands the competitive landscape for the SafePointe product and act as a consultant to the Sales Directors on all matters of a competitive nature.
  • Establish and manage key Partners (channel, technology & contracting) for the product.
  • Act as a product-SME, working in a consultative role to assist the Regional Sales Directors in executing high-priority presentations, devising strategies, refining messaging, delivering value, securing funding, and delivering bookings for the SafePointe product across their territories.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 14+ years of experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role with team management experience.
  • An undergraduate degree is highly preferred; a master's degree in a business-related field would be beneficial.
  • Must have experience developing a business, leading a sales organization, and fostering lasting relationships.
  • Sales experience in business development, ideally in the security and SaaS space, or with one of the primary vertical markets (hospitals, casinos, or a combination of both).
  • Worked in a larger, established company; however, some experience in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment is strongly preferred.
  • Supporting company financial performance and demonstrating a deep understanding of financial data.
  • Driving strategic problem-solving, leading cross functional teams to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities.
  • Prior AI experience and/or willingness to learn and use AI tools for worklow, research and other responsibilities.
