About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Sales for the North American market with a strong background in B2B hardware sales, particularly in the computing industry. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years experience in this field, with at least 8 years in sales management leading to senior leadership roles. A proven track record of revenue generation, with a responsibility of over £25m annually, is essential. Experience in one of the specified industries, such as defense, automation, medical, energy, transport, communications, or leisure, and a background in OEM specialized computing or related electronics technologies is also required.
The role demands a strategic leader with excellent people management, change management, and reporting skills. The ideal candidate will be a confident and professional communicator, adept at engaging with stakeholders at all levels. They should be a collaborative individual, supporting company-wide initiatives and the growth of teams, and have a history of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft applications is necessary, with a preference for those familiar with Hubspot CRM. A degree in a business-related or technical/engineering subject, along with in-career management/leadership development training, is a must. The candidate should be a lifelong learner, organized, and able to work well under pressure, with a positive, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial spirit.
